(4,286 posts)At this point that is what any attorney would advise him to do. I cannot every see the DA offering him a deal though. He will be charged on multiple counts of Murder 1.

(10,252 posts)What I do care about is him using a court trial as a stage to spew his anti-semitic crap. I have a sinking feeling that is his plan. Cast himself as an heroic great white crusader martyr, defending the white race. Hopefully, if he demands a court trial, the judge will not allow cameras in court. Yikes.

(26,060 posts)if I'm wrong but I'm under the impression that when it comes to a defendant looking at the death penalty, it's automatic that the plea is not guilty.

(6,913 posts)If you said guilty, the judge would tell you he couldnt accept that plea and was entering a plea of not guilty on your behalf.
In the present circumstances, he has been told he has to say not guilty so dont be surprised.

(32,973 posts)snip..." A day after Allegheny County prosecutors sought a court order to force the U.S. Marshals Service to turn over Robert Bowers for arraignment on 11 counts of criminal homicide, they have instead agreed to put their case on hold until the federal charges have played out."

(23,339 posts)Before execution, there has to be a series of appeals. I seems "not guilty" is the only plea that makes sense. As if any of this makes sense.

(73,537 posts)That's just a part of the process. No attorney would advise him to do differently, at this point. I'm kind of hoping that he'll stick with the not guilty plea, though no attorney would advise that.
