Chris Wallace (Fox News) on with Stephen Colbert last night

Chris Wallace said only 10% of illegal immigrants who were caught at the U.S. border,
who were released and told to report back for an immigration hearing,
came back for the hearing.

Colbert had his staff fact check it (via PolitiFact) while continuing to interview Wallace,
and found out the actual number is 60 to 70 percent return for their hearing.

Wallace yanked the info sheet from Colbert’s hands and ripped it up,
saying “That’s your staff and your show!”

Wallace claimed he had said “Only 10% are granted asylum”.

a comedy show does a better job of fact checking than journalists assigned to the White House.

Kind of like when Jon Stewart called out the media with a quote something like

"It is pathetic that this show can report on the facts better than mainstream media even when my next segment is a talking dog".

I would like to get the actual quote if someone has it.

4. Whenever I see this ass I feel sympathy for Mike.

From what I read Mike was not a person easy to gather emotion but this Fox News hack betrays any legacy of journalism. Same goes for anyone associated with Fox News down to the custodian.

16. What a *WEASEL*! I had foolishly credited him with a bit of fairness.

The main part of the interview was how he claimed the WashPo headline about.the bomber was unfair to SHITLER because the headline included that he was a SHITLER supporter. COLBERT had long pauses of incredulity at the clear toadying to SHITLER and finally got him to admit that it was a significant part of the story.
