Wisconsin voter. from red to blue

I grew up in a staunchly republican household in Wisconsin. I voted for Mitt Romney, Scott Walker, and Ron Johnson. I early voted for Democrats yesterday because the party I used to line up with has been swallowed whole by Trump and his vile ilk. #GOPvotingblue

but it seems to me these normally Republican voters just want to put the genie back in the bottle. It's not like they actually want to get rid of the genie or the bottle. It's the overtness they have a problem with, not message itself. Nevertheless, I welcome their votes, but I don't hold out much hope they will become regular voters for the good guys in future elections.

They seem to be the embodiment of the fable describing a frog being slowly boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

Republican congress critters have been spouting crazy, racist shit for years. Their whole strategy for flipping southern conservative Dems to the Republican party was based completely on racism and fear. Maybe it's just me, but the pot seems to have been pretty damn hot to start with. NOW they're having a problem with it?

Sometimes I wonder if these "epiphany people" on the right are more upset that shitler is actually SAYING what many have thought or at least have never objected to. Maybe they're more upset with the overtness rather than the message itself. If it were the message of racism, they'd have left the Republican party 20 years ago. Hell, they'd have been tipped off when Reagan his states rights speech in Mississippi back in 1980, going full on southern strategy. Why the delay I wonder?

Wisconsin turning red was a theft. It was manipulated and stolen from the people.

......that they guys he voted for -- Romney, Walker, Johnson -- all played that same tune as Trump and his vile ilk, they just used it as a background theme instead of the main fanfare. So was it the tune, or the volume, that was the problem?

A point to ponder, when assessing things going forward.

I don't live in Wisconsin but Scott Walker came to my college. He was supposed to give a speech and take questions from students. He arrived with a bunch of guys in shades for "security" and gave his speech. Then he did not take a single question from students, jumped in his limo and left. The school felt used, and the students were denied the chance to ask him about issues. So he did not come across well here.

We used to be a progressive state until big money took over. My brother in law, a teacher, took early retirement due to Walker's regressive policies on education. Enough is enough.

We are usually a light blue swing state. Have big hopes for the Midterms!
