I'm sorry I find this amusing. I remember the first time I encountered this in a book. Growing up in East Texas, I had only heard it called Bob War. As someone who has tried to go under or between the strands, I can assure you there is nothing beautiful about it.

17. I was really good at mending barbed wire fence. I lived in open range country

and I had to fence the cattle off my land. Just my pickup, my wire stretcher, my five in one fence tool, my leather gloves and spend the day riding fence.

I could take one of my horses but they didn’t like hauling a bail of barbed wire.
