Who Coined The Term 'Caravan' In Relation To The Group That's....

marching up from Guatemala? Was this a term cooked up by a Repug Think Tank to be used as a talking point for the Repugs to use to rile up their supporters?

Caravan is not a common word used in relation to a group of people. The only time I've heard the term 'caravan' used was in relation to a group of desert people on camels.

Did the Repugs focus group test the term before they began using it? Or did the term just come up from one of the cable news shows on Fox or another network or newspaper.

When I heard it being mentioned daily, I had wondered why a truck full of people was getting national attention. Then I found out that it was a large group of people.

It must be nice there at Fox to have so much control over the President. It use to be the reverse, but now they control the POTUS pie hole. That’s new.

It's kind of you to provide a solid, factual answer to the question, but perhaps less kind to call the OP ignorant for asking.

"Ignorant" refers to a condition of lacking knowledge about something. The OP does more than pose a question, but also speculates as to an answer, as do several other posters here.

The meaning of the word in this case seems applicable, although “refugees” would be a more humane way of framing it.
