I won't watch any network's election results unless

someone is on who shows the numbers accurately, so I can see who won. The rest is noise. If the show is too noisy, I'll mute it and read the numbers on the screen. Beyond that, I don't care who is talking.

I won't watch Fox News, though. I never watch Fox News. Any of the others will be OK with me, though.

12. Combination of CNN, and 538 live blogging tweets

That is the best ticket, IMO. 538 always has their top analysts including Nate Silver tweeting about important trends and races. Invariably they will pick out things that the mainstream networks have yet to discover.

It can be quite rapid fire at times.

Also, I recommend Steve Schale on twitter, since Florida has two pivotal statewide races that may indicate where we are headed nationally, along with crucial House races in FL-27 and FL-26. Schale is a former Obama state campaign director and an expert in Florida politics. He should provide the early indications of where we are headed in Florida.

I have mentioned many times previously that Steve Schale was the one who first gave the evidence that Donald Trump was likely to win on election night 2016. I will never forget it. Everything was going fine and Schale was upbeat about Hillary winning Florida, based on her margins in huge Democratic counties Miami-Dade and Broward. Then Schale had a cautionary tweet about rural counties in Florida, saying the race would be tighter than he previously indicated, followed by a 20 minute gap between tweets. Imagine what 20 minutes is like on election night. I knew it had to be devastating news. Sure enough, Schale followed with a tweet saying Trump was exceeding recent Republican high water marks in 47 different Florida counties. All the rural counties. They were storming in for Trump in unprecedented raw numbers and percentages of the vote. I gulped and knew the election was essentially over. A trend like that was not going to be isolated to Florida alone. White rural and working class voters were going to dictate this election beyond any projection. It was 8:45 PM.

I'm expecting better news from Schale in Florida this time. But we need to hope he doesn't start reporting 2016 type turnout and percentages in those same rural Florida counties.

5. OK. Well, there are many other options for returns.

I'm sure there's something annoying about all of them. I can deal with Kornacki. Like I said, I can just push the mute button. I'm never looking for analysis or projections anyhow. Just the numbers and calls about who won.

The House seat count will be interesting to watch, of course, but that won't be settled before I go to bed, anyhow.

You know who I can't stand on MSNBC? Hugh Hewitt. That, however, does not stop me from watching segments where he appears. I'm able to filter things like that for myself just fine.

Kornacki is too high-energy for my taste, so I'll probably ignore him if I watch MSNBC tomorrow night.

I tried CSPAN once, but found it way too boring.

6. I won't watch any report featuring Steve Kornacki

because he's so frenetic he drives me nuts. It's like he goes on the air after doing a line of coke and drinking a quart of Red Bull, and then he stands there babbling like an auctioneer and flapping his arms like one of those those tube-shaped advertising doo-dads with the flailing arms that you see outside car dealerships. Even muting the jabbering doesn't work because I can still see him out of the corner of my eye, conducting an imaginary orchestra playing The Flight of the Bumblebee with real bumblebees in his pants. I'll probably just check DU from time to time.

10. No one knows how ANY of the close +/- 5% races are going to go

Because of the unusual hystrionics involved.

I have relatives who haven't voted for a Dem in 4 decades who are voting straight Democratic mirroring Steve Schmidt and what We see with the never Trumpers.

In AZ McSally is only polling 88% of Republicans. You cannot win elections when you are a) the minority party and b) get less than 90% of your own party.

Wednesday morning. That's when I'm going to check on results, after getting a decent night's sleep. Blue wave! That's what I'm expecting.

14. Who doesn't show the numbers accurately?

All the networks (including Fox) post the numbers they get form the State Election officials. If what you mean is that you don't like networks calling races before all the votes are counted...turn off your TV for two weeks, because that's likely how long it will to take to count everything.
