1st order of a new Democratic House is a bill to provide all voting Americans with a a voter ID card that ensures everyone can vote. 100MM voters x $10 bucks = $2 Billion to make Democracy Great Again. We can easily make sure all voters can have a great election experience in 2020. That's like 5 miles of Trumps imaginary cost for a wall on our Southern Border....

(28,527 posts)Give them $10 bucks and let them fight with state/local election officials. Most will probably be anti-federalist, anti-socialists so they can enjoy their non-existent privacy!

(28,527 posts)That is really small money.
I would sacrifice my already compromised autonomy to make sure I can vote without Republican obstruction. Republicans will have to figure another way to suppress the vote ....or....try to win the elections with better ideas for how to win the hearts and minds of the majority.

(779 posts)...why not fix the voting process altogether:
Paper ballots that can be machine read and countable by humans if a recount is required.
I live in PA and our machines are old and do not create any kind of paper trail.

(28,527 posts)A Voter ID should be free for all and I'd be happy to see that available for all voters.
