Be wary of posts about voting problems in specific areas.

Especially with people who are new to DU, that is a way to discourage people from going to vote. Lots of funny business today in all sorts of places. Don't believe what cannot be proved through credible news sources.

1. I find it hard to believe that anyone on DU would be discouraged from voting

by a post reporting a problem at their polling place. Much more likely, most DUers would be likely to get over there to find out what is going on and figure out how to fix it.

of the many posts stating voting problems. I have voted in Nevada, while residing there, never any trouble. Now in California and no problems. I don’t think the posts will discourage us from voting but they might depress us.

Every time. In 2008 there was a post about how some computers were down and Obama's ground game could not be done. Ridiculous assertions.

last night because they flooded GD and all the state fora with the same alarmist tripe about irregularities in early vote confirmation in one state. It seemed pretty fishy, low post count member. After I put them on ignore, I was able to see all the other posts in GD.

Not that we shouldn’t be alert to voter interference, but it’s mostly just mistakes or misunderstanding.
