"The flat tax is the best idea for fixing the economy" (resident Wing nut, abridged)

So when a guy makes a million dollars and only pays 150 thousand while the guy who makes 20 thousand pays three thousand, that's equatable?

Sure it is. (face palm in front of him)

How can that be fair, and by the way, how do you run anything with such low revenue?

Consumption tax, you buy a car, you pay 10 or 20 percent consumption, you pay it on everything.

we all pay sales tax on everything now, you mean a value added tax don't you, like the Europeans do?

OH NO not like those Socialist countries, a consumption tax.

Consumption tax hurts the middle and lower class, they will pay it on cigarettes, beer, their cars, gas, how does that fix anything, they don't MAKE enough to absorb a value added tax?

It's fair and you don't understand how Regan created so many more jobs than Obama during their first terms so it works.

how is Regan the reason your theory works? By the way, the gold standard for slacker President is Bush 43, he LOST 20,000,000 jobs during his presidency, whay aren't you comparing Obama to him? Additionally, you'll have to pay it from what you make and you don't have a Swiss bank account like Romney does to cover your expenses

You don't know what you are talking about.....

And walks away

The Freeper mentality, tuned daily by Reich wing radio. They listen on their computers while they work, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. Because the owners are Republicans too. A person with responsibility with a brain that's dysfunctional, amazing.

The Resident crazed Fundie walked towards me and tried to interject into the conversation, but I spun on my heel and walked awayT

Set the rate at 60%. Give a standard deduction of 2x median wage for single, 4x married.

that would be $80k and $160K, or thereabouts.

If this is what this guy is thinking about, his work has to be suffering. And he isn't even highly paid.
