The pre election MSNBC/Chris Mathews meme that candidates going full on progressive (FL, GA, TX)

would be winners as opposed to ones that lean to the middle (MO, TN). It like the old Dizzy Dean's theory on how to catch a knuckle ball: "There's only two theories on how to catch a knuckle ball, and neither works". It's very frustrating. Maybe one of these years we will crack the code. I will say the full on progressives came closer but that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

They've done so incredibly well that you've obviously forgotten how extremely unlikely winning in GA and TX was in the beginning (these people couldn't win!), and also FL with an outsider black candidate for governor. They've all 3 set new standards for these states and a new template for future candidates around the nation.

Btw, all 3 states are heavily gerrymandered, but we don't know how big a role additional corruption has played. But in one respect GA Republicans lost big: this state will never be the same. Stacey's fantastic candidacy is more than just the opening shot in a revolution, it's a major incursion into the corrupt white conservative government that has always controlled this state. POC are a THIRD of the electorate here in GA, but thanks to Stacey's candidacy they have now for the very first time in history come out and voted their power in GA. That's huge!

The word gerrymandered all by itself means means corruption and election theft. Democrats have to draw far more than a majority of the vote to win these days, while Republicans win with less than majorities. But that's going to change.

On to 2020 for three really great Democratic candidates.
