The only bright side of +2 Republican pickup is no more Susan Collins charades

Assuming the NY Times is correct that the Republicans pick up two seats (assuming they win the recount in Florida and we win Arizona with hundreds of thousands of votes to be counted), that means Republicans will no longer need Susan Collins' vote, and Flake is gone.

So that means at least we will face 50 Republicans who look us in the face and admit they are our enemies. None of these public theatrics and fake handwringing from Collins and Flake before they end up voting the party line. Collins probably will be given permission to vote against Republican judges since they don't need her vote. Hopefully Maine voters won't fall for that charade in 2020.

She is proven, young and a tough campaigner by all accounts. She had to control LePage and did as good a job as possible.
