Is Iowa winner take all? Must not be... that was a stupid question. How are the delegates apportioned?

5. Not a dumb question at all. If I remember correctly, the delegates are apportioned on a proportional

basis. For instance, if Santorum gets 25%, he'll receive 25% of the 25 delegates. Can't do the math in my head right now. LOL!!

ETA: I just found out that RepubliCONs changed the IA caucuses to a proportional system. It used to be Winner Take All. Now, it's proportional...

9. By peeking at the right time, too late for media scrunity to destroy his lead

I live in PA, so believe me, Santorum has lots of problems, it's part of why Santorum lost his last statewide election here in PA by a 3 to 2 margin.

What Santorum did right is through dumb luck peeking really late, before the media had time to shine a bright spotlight on him and cause him to collapse like Newt and the others.

Also his really radical social views probably help here in Iowa.

Also looks like Santorum's lead is widening, to almost 2 points now.

Edit: Holy cow that's a lot of votes coming in all of a sudden, now Romney's up by half a point.
