Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley's niece was one of 12 people killed in a late-night shooting in Thousand Oaks, Calif., Wednesday night (Nov. 7).
Mowry-Housley starred alongside her sister Tia Mowry in Sister, Sister in the '90s. She's now married to Adam Housely, who until recently was a correspondent for Fox News. Alaina Housely was Tamera's niece by marriage (and no relation to Tia).
"Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks," the Housleys share with USA Today via a joint representative. "Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time."
