Trump Is Pretty Much in Hiding

No visit to American WWI soldiers graves with other allied leaders. No visit to Arlington Cemetery. No trip to the Asian summit. No public appearances.

Either there is some sort of health issue going on or he knows that something is about to drop from the Mueller investigation. Those are the two options I'm thinking about.

He did travel to France and did make a couple of appearances there, although he skipped out on hob-nobbing with the other leaders most of the time. And there was that long, angry press conference before the trip. So, I'm thinking it's not a serious health issue.

That leaves the Mueller thing on the table. Has he been notified of potential terrible news from that front? That would be my guess. That would explain his testiness in that press conference and his almost incognito status in France. He knows something and also knows that he's not going to be able to keep his nasty emotions in check right now.

Trump has received bad news, I think, about some imminent announcement. He's holed up because there's not much else he can do. What will happen when that news drops? Who can say?

Of course, I'm just taking a guess here. What do I know?

He will order Pence to the White House, run naked thru the halls while swinging a broad sword and murder his VP. The Supremes will claim a sitting president can not be prosecuted for murder. And Malaria will be ordered to service all male judges on the court while Donald gets peed on by Ivanka.

Welcome to Jerry Springer in the white house version. It can only go down hill from here.

it seems the usual things aren't working for him. The Whitaker appointment is blowing up in his face, the Kavan-R appointment may have helped hold the Senate, but it didn't play well in the House races.

He always thinks he's the smartest man in the room and that he can win any confrontation. Since it has always worked, or seemed to work for him, he doesn't know how to deal with losing. I just hope that the 'something desperate' he may be planning doesn't get too many people killed.

Imagine a Narcissist in hiding. He's like a druggie waiting for his fix or an alcoholic waiting for a drink. He is going to have a nervous breakdown. He really doesn't like any of the leaders that were at the ceremonies in France, anyway--except Putin. He never takes notes, properly receives briefings, or shows any interest. He pushes to the front of the line showing that he really believes he is superior to them and you are right--despite his tweets pretending he did well he did not. The midterms did not go his way and pressure against him is building at home and abroad. His fragile ego can't handle it.

His usefulness to Putin may have mostly passed already. Putin has other irons in the fire and tRumpy has a big mouth. Perhaps he could live in luxury in Moscow, but if I were him I would avoid open windows and helicopters--maybe that's why he didn't take the helicopter in France.

... but the Mayor of Washington DC told the White House that the cost would be up in the millions for all the overtime pay for the police/fire/EMS workers. Also for the cost of repaving the streets that would be ruined by heavy tanks and weapons. He thinks he looks like a loser right now. He is so out of touch with things that are not FoxNews that the Blue Wave caught him by surprise and he wasn’t prepared for it.

The day after the election, as usual, he held the press conference to speak to his base. Unfortunately the questions he was being asked surprised and enraged him because he’s forgotten that his base’s reaction to his every word is not the way the rest of the country reacts. So he held the press conference to show him verbally strut around claiming a personal victory. To his surprise the reporters didn’t roar in Pavlovian response or cower in trembling surrender or turn the other cheek.

This enraged him. Reporters were asking incredibly pointed questions which he could only reply to with insults and obvious rage. So, if everyone would notice, he went on a full frontal attack thinking that would intimidate the reporters. But the reporters all kept their professional cool and kept pressing him. He was losing the confrontation because too many of the reporters were asking the hard questions. His only out was to throw a fit, which he did.

Trump sees the world as his personal foe who he conquers both in a financial level and personal level. It’s blatantly apparent in his signature handshake, and his every word.

This is how Trump reacts when he knows the world sees him losing. By his own reconning he is seen as a Loser. So he does the only thing left to him. He rages, and walks away from the podium and personally insults every journalist who asks pointed questions about his actions, words and deeds. He goes into his High Huff mode. His High Dudgeon.

His unvarnished resentment at Macron and the rest of the the European leaders was primarily based on his perception that he looks like a Loser, and is basically being treated like one by people who he believes should be bowing to him. Who should be shaking in their boots at his power instead of ignoring him. Another ego blow which he knows his base is watching. So he does another one of his deflecting things. He smiles broadly, knowing all the cameras will catch it, at Putin. He is desperate to look like a winner, no matter what.

This is probably typical Narcissist behavior. If he can’t control everything with a victorious smirk then he will control it with a volcanic fit of rage. If anyone doesn’t believe this just ask the close family members of Narcissists.

He missed a stellar opportunity to rebuke Trump with an immediate resignation and an explanation of why he resigned. He did not take the opportunity, and now the time for it has passed. Instead, he will wait to be dismissed by Trump, which will offer no chance to make a strong statement.

Letting Trump dishonor fallen WWI soldiers without comment was a weak move on Kelly's part. Perhaps he just doesn't care any longer. That happens.

Coupled with his physical issues, he is a walking time bomb. There is only so long they can keep this from the public. We’ve had two + years to observe tRump and what we’ve seen for a week is just not the norm for him or any recent President. This cannot go on much longer without someone cracking, leaking, resigning or squalling to the media. I am rather hoping we get to see the Orange Menace escorted out of the White House to a padded cell or a locked penal facility where we will be done with the likes of him. Forever.

The Presidency
The Void, a book supposedly written by Bob Woodward, describes Franken's brief and turbulent tenure at the White House. After Franken makes a bizarre inauguration speech apologizing for slavery, the resulting backlash sends Franken into depression. Franken's aides give him anti-depressant drugs, but this causes Franken to display strange behavior. Franken has himself cloned, punches Nelson Mandela in the stomach during a state meeting, and hatches a dangerous plan to assassinate Saddam Hussein by flying to Iraq and hitting him with a plaque that reads, "World's Greatest Grandpa." Congress forms a committee to investigate Franken's mood swings, which leads to the unraveling of his administration. After his diary is publicized, Franken is forced to resign.
