This shouldn't surprise me, but hypocrisy at this level is just mind boggling.

Sen. Mitch McConnell: Will Dems work with us, or simply put partisan politics ahead of the country?

Last Tuesday I was proud to see that the American people voted keep Republicans in control of the U.S. Senate. But we also learned that, come January, the Republican Senate majority will be dealing with a House of Representatives under Democratic control.

Needless to say, the past two years of unified Republican government will be remembered as a period of historic productivity.

Can anyone point to a time that Republicans tried to appear that they were even pretending to cooperate with Democrats?

sabotage of the economy by not allowing keynesian spending during a recession which goes against 60 70 years of thinking. Of course there are no deficit worries or austerity under Trump when it came to tax cuts for the rich. Now repubs are worried about the deficit again a year later. It is all canned this economy and economics.

6. It really amazes me how profoundly inconsistent republicans are in word and deed.

McConnell is one of the worst. His word cannot be trusted. We will all be blessed when he is no longer in the news cycle. Knowing that Americans elect such trashy people is a bitter pill to swallow.

I don't understand how they can say these things with a straight face. After the way they treated Obama for eight years they now want us to "work" with them?

Fuck you, McConnell!

They like to say "elections have consequences" of course, but only when they win.

Then there is the old one: "Be reasonable, do it MY way."

"My way or the highway" comes to mind.

"Sit down, shut up, and get out of the way." They love to use that one on women.

I'm sure there are more.
