by Colby Hall | Nov 14th, 2018, 6:58 am
Joe Scarborough shared on Wednesday morning reports that hes heard and read that President Donald Trump is growing increasingly disinterested in his job, increasingly angry.
According to the Morning Joe host, and is fellow panelist Willie Geist, the presidents sour mood comes from a confluence of events, namely the political loss suffered from last weeks midterm elections, combined with the ongoing investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Because the Democratic party took control, there is a belief that the House of Representatives will soon act as a much more aggressive check and balance on the Executive Branch by going so far as to subpoena Trumps tax returns. The ostensible reason for that action is to determine if he has made policy decisions that have led to personal financial benefit instead of benefiting the nations best interest.
And now that the midterms have passed, the Mueller investigation report is looming. On Monday evening it was reported that President Trump sat with his attorneys to provide written answers to questions presented by the office of Special Counsel.

(1,822 posts)But having a groveling Congress fed his ego and made life easy. Now w/ the prospect of a hostile Congress and knowing he will actually have to work to make deals instead of just snapping his fingers and issuing a decree, has caused him, to realize the situation he's in. I expect this to continue to spiral out of control more and more over the next year.

(11,866 posts)I think he thought that world leaders would suck up to him the way other grifters have all of his life. He never expected that he would be the only grifter at the world table. They all hate him and ice him out, with the exception of the Master.
The actual job is exceptionally hard work even for those who are prepared intellectually and physically. He is trapped like a rat. A rat under a microscope and a million watt heat lamp. He really can't resign, because the office is the only fire wall he has against indictment.
