Bravo, Melania.

Geez, I would have fired the witch.

The Washington Post:

"As the East Wing prepared the flight manifest for the marquee trip to Africa, deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel became angry that seats on the first lady’s government jet were assigned to a larger-than-usual security entourage and a small press corps with none for Ricardel or another NSC staffer, according to current U.S. officials and others familiar with the trip and its aftermath.

Policy experts from the NSC and State Department were advised to fly separately and to meet the first lady’s party on the ground, a practice the State Department had often used, but Ricardel objected strenuously, those people said. She threatened to revoke NSC resources associated with the trip, meaning no policy staff would advise the first lady during her visits to Ghana, Kenya, Malawi and Egypt.

...Last weekend, according to administration officials, the first lady’s office again asked Bolton to oust Ricardel. Others, including Kelly, have wanted her gone for months, administration officials said, with little success in overcoming Bolton’s objections.

Bolton declined again — and went to Asia."

First Ladies do not ordinarily fire West Wing officials and staff. Nor should they.

There were processes she should have followed, for example going through the chief of staff, who actually wants Ricardel out.

But both these women are Deplorable, so while I think Ricardel is a POS, Melania is showing her stupidity. Again.

They all lie and steal and cheat and all of them—trump, Bolton, Melanoma, Kelly, Conway, Huckabee Sanders—every last one of them should be out of the White House.

None of these current repugs are better than the other.

as a kid in the 60s and 70s. Moved to the Chicago burbs in 71. Went to Devil's lake a lot. Then in high school, I met a Norwegian American family that had roots in Door County. Excursions to Sturgeon Bay (they had a house on Carp Bay) Salmon in September October, walking a mile out onto the ice in February at night. Camping trips to both states. I am back in Chicago now with my wife and two kids. Got married at 43, so a bit of a late start.

It'll be nice to go back to those states as we hose down our respective Capitols.

I could have called her a warlock but that's the name for male witches.

I honestly do not see how the term 'witch' is in any way sexist. Perhaps there is a name for witch that is gender neutral.

If so, let me know and I'll edit my post.

Why do you assume that someone who uses the term 'witch' is the deplorable sexist you describe in your post?
