1. That's an accurate count of races decided, but a bit optimistic as a projection of the final number

That's how many races currently have been called for Republicans. For that number not to grow, either some already called races will have to be changed or we will have to pick up wins in a few pending races where the odds are not very good that we can win, such as Texas 23, NY 22, and GA 7.

I think we have a shot at 234/201, which would be a pick up of 39 seats in the November elections and 40 seats in 2018 (including the one seat we picked up in a special election earlier in the year).

2. Projection ? That's the actual count at NYTimes -- with 7 undecided.

Looks like Dems will likely pick up at least four more -- a gain of 39 !
