Roy Clark died at the age of 85. He was great guitarist who taught himself how to play the guitar and other instruments. He was more than musician, he was an actor, songwriter, singer and comedian. His biggest fame was starring on Hee Haw with Buck Owens and others for 24 years. Some of his biggest songs were "Thank God and Greyhound, You're Gone", "The Tips Of My Fingers", "Yesterday, When I Young", "I Never Picked Cotton" and many others.
I am sadden that I was never able to see him in concert, but will always fan of Mr. Clark. Rest in Peace, Mr. Clark.
I was about 10 years old when I first heard his song "Thank God and Greyhound, She is gone". I would sing it around the and mom would get upset with me. She said I was to young to understand the song.

I wasn't a CW music fan, mostly because of vocals. I did not like twangy or nasally voices. But I love great instrumentation and performance, and Roy Clark was brilliant.

But... to tell you the truth, I thought he died years ago. I must be confused and thinking of Buck Owens.
