Of course we should have captured Osama Bin Laden long before we did. I pointed him out in my book just BEFORE the attack on the World Trade Center. President Clinton famously missed his shot. We paid Pakistan Billions of Dollars & they never told us he was living there. Fools!..

In 2000, "I wrote about Osama bin Laden, Weve got to take him out."
Donald Trump on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015 in a speech.
Almost two years before the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Donald Trump says he urged the United States to eliminate Osama bin Laden.
"Remember that in The America We Deserve, I wrote that book in 2000, I wrote about Osama bin Laden: Weve got to take him out," Trump said during a Dec. 2 rally for his presidential campaign in Manassas.
Bin Laden is mentioned once in the 304-page book, in a passage criticizing then-President Bill Clinton for having an unfocused national security policy during an era when the U.S. no longer faced one central threat, such as the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Heres what Trump wrote:
"Instead of one looming crisis hanging over us, we face a bewildering series of smaller crises, flash points, stand offs, and hot spots. Were not playing the chess game to end all chess games anymore. Were playing tournament chess - one master against many rivals. One day were assured that Iraq is under control, the UN inspectors have done their work, everythings fine, not to worry. The next day the bombing begins. One day were told that a shadowy figure named Osama bin Laden is public enemy number one, and U.S. jet fighters lay waste to his camp in Afghanistan. He escapes back under some rock, and a few news cycles later, its on to a new enemy and a new crisis."

(7,236 posts)It reads like vaguely paleocon thinktank input (at a time when he was supposedly more sympathetic to the Dems) channeled through a ghost writer.
No matter that it's joined-up (if wrong-headed), there's no attempt to mimic his writing or speaking style!
I was also asking: who actually wrote this???

(15,330 posts)Fuck, in 2000, if there had been a story about Donnie Short Fingers, my first reaction would have been; "meh...I thought that guy was dead".
He could have said anything in 2000, and it would have had the impact of a fart from a flea.
The only reason America even has to pretend to give a rats-ass what this dickwad says today is because a minority of pricks from Dumbfuckistan, 'Murika decided they wanted a sociopath as president.
I can't wait until the day I can happily go back to giving NOT ONE FUCK about whatever bullshit comes out of Needy Amin face anus.
Fuck that guy sideways!!!
