Two women, 14 men. Five members-elect.
This should be interesting. I know people who are furious with Brindisi - they worked hard to get him elected, and they are going to give him an earful about his position on this.

(53,963 posts)I see the #FiveWhiteGuys as expected.
Rep. Fudge, the one they were trying to push out there to run against Pelosi, is missing from this list.
She must've come to her senses after meeting with Pelosi.

(47,567 posts)I did complain as soon as I've heard him hinting and he replied that during the campaign - the one that he flipped -he heard about people wanting "new blood."

And isn't Sanches in a vulnerable spot as her husband has been indicted for stealing federal funds. Wouldn't she like the support of all those Dems?

(297,934 posts)to see Brindisi's name. He's in my former District where I used to live in New York.
I'm wondering if he had to pledge not to support Nancy because that's a red seat and most of them are brainwashed?

(58,785 posts)66 more than the Republicans at 167, with 3 members still to be determined.
Committing to voting no when they have no viable alternative is contemptible. Do they imagine they're choosing the president of a photography club? They wouldn't vote out the pilot of the plane they flew into DC on with no replacement, and this is incredibly more foolish with a nation's lives at risk.
That said, my guess is they'll harmlessly fulfill a campaign promise that should never have been made on the 28th, and then most will vote for her in the first joint session in January. And peoplew will be taking names of any who don't then, though again, with a 66 member (right now) majority...
