like fine arts or graphic design would mean sensitivity to humanity. I like the stories in those post too. I love it that the Obama's put themselves non existent on this site and promote all that mighty leadership talent instead.

You couldn't be a prude or easily shocked in art school. But's probably a chicken/egg thing.

Oddly enough I did know one person who was a really talented artist, and her husband was a super talented illustrator, and they were both Republican. But I also strongly suspect they had a lavender marriage and being Republican was all part of their repression/self-loathing. Too bad, they were both really nice except for how tightly wound they were. Especially her.
