He won all three with the slimmest of margins yet it doesn't bother those who support the creep that he is a crook of the highest order. One of the most inaccessible "public servants" this state has seen who has profited off his power yet they see him as a "successful businessman".

He does indeed have his eye on the White House because he's slippery enough to, so far, evade any culpability for his misdeeds. Now that he has another toad about to invade the Governor's mansion his ass will be covered by any/all revelations that may surface prior to being sworn in.

Rather curious that we have a Democrat who won the Ag. Comm. spot yet the two bigger races went R.

Nikki Fried won for Ag. Comm. Her race was on the ballot sandwiched between all the other races and so not easily missed.

The Senate race in Broward was under the instructions. I've been voting in Florida for a number of years - and when there are important elections, they load up the ballot with constitutional questions, and everything else from dog catcher to hospital board to mosquito control district reps. This years ballot in Lee County was three long pages. Vote two sides on one sheet and one side on the second.

It's a GOP strategy to drag out voting, especially on voting day. Get people to stand in long lines waiting to vote on a ballot that could take 10 or 15 minutes, especially if your voters haven't prepared in advance and to come in with a filled out sample ballot to know what candidates and issues to cast their votes. I had to get a new ballot, because the numbering was off on the issues, we had a candidate that passed away in another, and her name was still on the ballot, and a host of other problems.

Lastly, Nikki Fried ran a strong campaign. Nelson, not so much. The Medicare Fraudster had adds up in August touting his "accomplishments" as governor and eviscerating Nelson. Crickets from the Democratic Party and candidate. By the time they ramped up in late September it was too little to late. And then the Trump Traveling Salvation Show showed up in places like Lee County, Duval, County and the panhandle. Dems needed their own roadshow, and apart from Jimmy Buffet and Barack Obama's last minute pleas not enough energy. It was close, the republithugs likely cheated again, but it's Flor-i-dah!!!

Lastly, a significant part of the blame is the voting demographics. Elderly voters, vote every time - and many transplants from the midwest and northeast vote their pocket books - or what's left of it. Most came from high tax states, including state income tax, and buy all the lines about the GOP protecting you from taxation, and they voted overwhelmingly particularly on state issues to increase their homestead tax, and allow the second homeowners from up north or Canada, of foreigners to pay more property tax on another issue. And many watch only one channel - FOX NEWS. Enough said.
