Whew, bullet dodged: Interpol has elected South Korean Kim Jong Yang as president, rejecting the Russian bid to head the agency. At least Putin will continue to face challenges as he tries to use red-lining against his enemies (like Bill Browder)

(1,547 posts)I have rarely hated the government of a country so much.
..I don't hold any ill will against Russians .. But sorry - Putin and his band of Oligarchs deserve to ..you know .. swim with the fishes.

(6,555 posts)and in the intelligence agencies. Putin is really expecting a military free coup, and our bloke in the White House is leading the charge. How is this not treason? How can our Repuglican congress members see this and decide to not protect our nation from this threat. The Repuglicans are a bunch of treasonous morons!

(24,764 posts)We needed someone who would use police power wisely to run Interpol.
The last thing the world needed was to pick the russkies to run Interpol because it would have given Putin license to use the police agency to render, persecute, torture, and murder whistleblowers, giving them no refuge whatsoever. Good for Interpol to put in Kim Jong Yang as president.

(10,170 posts)our national secrets are being funneled to Putin through Trump anyway. Might as well put another Putin puppet in control of our police too.
