Ever since bigots got rightly kicked out of the Democratic Party and Nixon welcomed them into the Republican Party with open arms, far too many white people have gotten comfortable with that unholy alliance and insisted that they were only in it for the tax cut or the deregulation or whatever, and not my problem if winning requires throwing red meat to the bigots.

You vote for the whole package, and you endorse the whole package.

At some point, they should realize there's something seriously wrong with a party that can only attract, what 3% of all black people.

But hey. Tax cut. So, not a racist. Well, racist for hire, anyway.

Of people, certainly around here in New England, who will insist they're not racist and only vote republican for the tax cuts.
