That's why he is attempting to cause a distraction by closing the border. He is trying to whip his base supporters into a frenzy that will somehow save him.

(108,977 posts)For one thing, Rick Gates has a status report that has been pushed back till Mid January, so he's still cooperating on something(s).
But Manafort has a report due tomorrow that could be interesting, and Michael Flynn has a filing due on December 4 that could be important.

(108,977 posts)And for some reason it was delayed for 10 days. They could have easily gotten an extension for another few months, but for some reason said that 10 days would put them in a "better position" to write the document. A number of legal analysts thought that was significant.

(21,137 posts)Its as if Putin and the maggot are coordinating today. I have a feeling when the maggot goes to mar a lago he talks with Pooty undetected and out of the ears of our intelligence agencies.

(7,220 posts)Trump's already alienated all our allies, so they might be slow to get involved. Meanwhile, pants-shitting Americans would let him slide on this whole "Russher thing" because "no one is harder on Russher than Trump. Right?

(10,123 posts)They're going to chase down what Corsi gives them to save his fanny. They have to explore that.
They've been circling Roger Stone's staff and cutting deals. Between them and Corsi, I suspect there is at least one card for them to play there.
The Assange thing may break any day. That could get really interesting if they extradite him.
The Democrats in the House might shake some things loose.
The publication of findings from the House investigations will probably open more doors to evidence as all the journalists investigate it. (people seem to be underestimating this - the media insulted as being "Fake News" is probably rubbing their hands together in anticipation of what they're going to be able to chase down.
I still think at least one of the two Trump sons are flippable.
I do not see the rush because the Senate is not likely to impeach him and Trump has to be very careful with Whittaker ending Mueller because of obstruction of justice. Even if Whittaker does end Mueller, I'm sure he has laid all the groundwork for those who will follow up.
Instead of fighting over who should lead the House, they should be planning what they're going to do in terms of feeding the media frenzy from now until 2020. That can be instrumental in helping them to continue to control the House, take back the Oval Office and potentially take over the Senate.

(3,433 posts)The information will get out one way or another, most likely to the House. I agree with Dershowitz, Whitaker will probably let it come out , and make his own statement.
