And says that she picked up on what those views were by the jokes they were telling. Then she goes on to cite some of those jokes. She says that these men didn't want women in charge of something to do with agriculture.

"and I knew then..." so that I can make up my own mind what to think -- about that statement.

I already despise the woman for excellent reason, even if she was not running to represent a state whose population is 37% black. I don't need any excuses to despise her for what may be no good reason.

She's said some problematic things lately, so people aren't going to be as willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I don't think it was necessary for her to repeat the joke. We could've gotten the point she was making without it.

I have never heard those jokes before - goes a long way to show what awful sexist depravity is commonplace among conservative men in the south. And how women have had to put up with it with a smile for far too long (and some still do).

lynching crack, vote suppression crack on black students, tweeting a photo of herself in a confederate soldier cap and her accepting money from a white supremacist group.

She just piled another disastrous utterance (laughingly repeating sexist jokes) on top of her previous stupidities.

How many voter groups does she want to offend?

There are a myriad of reasons to go after her (such as the ones you cited). This video is not one of them.

The OP and the Twitter account both frame the video inaccurately. That kind of thing does damage to the cause of defeating her.

There is no need to use any kind of deception or misrepresentation with respect to this person.

She votes with Donald Trump 100 percent of the time and is a self-defined ultra-right-wing conservative.

On top of that, her recent remarks about attending a hanging are way beyond the pale. To say nothing of her quite open embrace of the Confederacy.

That ought to be enough.

To go with the lynching, I wondered if she would also like to see women burned alive on wooden stakes for being witches. At least I thought I was being hyperbole. She obviously would attend that gruesome event too. I guess when it comes to this crazy woman you can't exaggerate enough to make it hyperbole.

But what about other witch hunts in the continental US? It was before we became a country, but I thought there were other witch hunts that ended in burnings. It's an interesting observation.

Commissioner of Agriculture. She refers to thise men as "crusty" and probably sexist. It certainly comes across as creepy as it appears she thinks they are funny. But I'd like to see a longer version of this video to get a better grasp of the context.

and would be given a hard time by men who told jokes like that. That was her point, I think. So she had to tell specific jokes, to get across how bad they were. Sounding angry about it wouldn't come off well, I suppose.

Some places are decades behind other parts of the country. Jokes like that are just like Henny Youngman jokes on steroids. "Take my wife. Please."

Or Rodney Dangerfield: I knew a girl so ugly that she was known as a two-bagger. That's when you put a bag over your head in case the bag over her head breaks.

source: http://www.jokes4us.com/peoplejokes/comedianjokes/rodneydangerfieldjokes.html

(To be fair to Rodney Dangerfield, he told more self-deprecating jokes about himself. "When I was born, I was sick. The doctors told my father 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but he pulled through.'" )

I don't like her, I think she's a deplorable person. I don't want her elected.

But she was not making the jokes she was mocking them and the men who told them to her.

Let's not twist things the way Republicans do. If we do that with things that are not offensive and not unethical and immoral to try to make them look that way we're acting like Republicans and we're lessening our credibility overall.
