Trump on Manafort pardon: "I wouldn't take it off the table. Why would I take it off the table?"

?quality=90&strip=all&w=618&h=410&crop=1

“It was never discussed, but I wouldn’t take it off the table. Why would I take it off the table?” the president said during an Oval Office interview.

He ripped special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe and charged that Manafort, former political adviser Roger Stone and Stone’s associate Jerome Corsi were all asked to lie by the special counsel.

“If you told the truth, you go to jail,” Trump said.

“You know this flipping stuff is terrible. You flip and you lie and you get — the prosecutors will tell you 99 percent of the time they can get people to flip. It’s rare that they can’t,” Trump said.

All his horrible tweets against Mueller and the investigation and the Justice Department...
And he is-- for his own selfish purposes-- telling people not to believe in our justice system, that it's a big cheat and that prosecutors force people to lie.

I don't know that we can come back from this.

How can this man be president?
Seriously, it's like having a creepy crazy old neighbor who throws his trash over your fence running the country.

this. Though I’m afraid it might take a very long time — unless the Twitler is overwhelmingly rebuffed in 2020. The bigger his loss, the sooner we’ll recover. That is if we win and they don’t find a way to steal yet another one.

I am hoping it begins in 2020, but don't count this snake out. If he wins a second term, let's hope to hell that we hold onto the House AND take back the Senate.

But we can't and should not count on 2020.

We are in the midst of a frightening moment in human history.

….once Manaforts in jail why would trump even be worried about him flipping? Can he still try to plea himself out of jail of hes already been sentenced?

For us.

No reason to use the phrase "off the table". Don't take anything off the table. There are even more gentle ways to say such a thing. "I'm/we are not entertaining it right now." Things like that.

and Manafort could then be compelled to testify without being able to invoke the 5th Amendment. But at this point, what’s one more count?

and politically damaging to his rumpness? Mueller already boxed Manafort in: his signed plea includes confessions to state crimes.
