Nah. McConnell will have to make do with some other guy.
And Trump? Ex presidents don't go to jail. It would be great to see him perp marched and locked up, but it just ain't "The American Way."
The biggest reason is that the Democrats will fear retaliation. They know that the next time there's a Dem president and a Republican congress, they'll try to impeach him/her for ... anything. Cutting a fart will become an impeachable offense.
I know this sucks, but it's reality. Trump will never spend a day in jail. The best we can hope for is that he's ostracized, shunned and forced to forever dwell in his Tower without ever leaving it to go outside. Then again, maybe he'll move to Moscow. Sure hope he does. He'll learn that his pal Putin won't treat him all that well once he's no longer president.
