Former Seahawk and Patriot Brandon Browner Gets Prison Time for Attempted Murder
Former Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner has been out of the league since 2015, and life hasn't gone so well for the two-time Super Bowl champion. Browner was just sentenced to eight years in prison stemming from a July incident.
The incident in question is incredibly dark, as Browner broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in LaVerne, Calif., and dragged her around before attempting to smother her in a carpet. Her two children were present throughout the entire ordeal. Browner appeared in court where he pleaded no contest to one count of attempted murder and two counts of willful child endangerment and was sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Browner has been behind bars since the incident occurred in July as he awaited sentencing.
Eight years is significantly less than the initial life sentence Browner was facing, as his no-contest plea resulted in charges of robbery, burglary and false imprisonment being dropped.
