... before the 2016 election. Trump and the Republicans are not legit.
I can't do a link to the story from my smart phone but just Google 16 million voters and look @ the think progress piece.
We are still paying for bush v Gore 2000 because with w bush in the White House he put people on SCOTUS who gutted the voting rights act.

(10,131 posts)Everytime I see or hear a talking head about how Trump and the GOP won in 2016 I want to scream.
They cheated.

(54,770 posts)In my area, there were two people that was complaining about having to file a provisional ballot. When TV news investigated, turned out those two went to the wrong polls.
That is not why we lost in 2016.
I've been purged several times. Every time it was because I moved to a different district. I registered in my new district and never had a problem voting.
In my red state, those who get purged have to have gone without voting in their assigned district for 7 years, and failed to respond to a written request for update mailed to their last known address. I don't find that onerous, especially since it is so easy to re-register, check/verify your registration, go to a Democratic local organization if you need help, even vote by mail.
There is no excuse not to vote in my and most states. I understand there are a few large, key states that don't have mail in voting, but not many.
