A while back she was caught red handed illegally using a private account to send government e-mails. In violation of the very laws put in place by angry Republicans because Hillarys abuses were the worst crimes ever committed against the USA.
Now some time later and the fact a crime was committed has simply been forgotten and ignored. No arrests. No subpoenas. no calls for investigation. No inquiries. Nothing.
How was she allowed to just walk away???

I'd say we are fortunate that isn't happening. What counts is what happens after Jan 3rd. Speak softly and carry a big stick with a nail in it.

(7,077 posts)"The president's family is not above the law, and there are serious questions that Congress should immediately investigate," said Austin Evers, executive director of American Oversight. "Did Ivanka Trump turn over all of her emails for preservation as required by law? Was she sending classified information over a private system?"
For more than two years, President Trump and senior leaders in Congress have made it very clear that they view the use of personal email servers for government business to be a serious offense that demands investigation and even prosecution, and we expect the same standard will be applied in this case, the group added in a statement.
But even as Ivanka Trumps use of a personal email account has drawn accusations of hypocrisy from Democrats, Cummings warned that he didnt want any investigation to get out of hand, as he said happened with Clinton.
My goal is to prevent this from happening again not to turn this into a spectacle the way Republicans went after Hillary Clinton, he said, pledging that my main priority as Chairman will be to focus on the issues that impact Americans in their everyday lives.

I looked at 2 years of front pages. Trump's Muslim ban got far less attention than Clintons emails.

(9,670 posts)And because we had no legislative power with which to investigate the potential crimes.
Until proven, there is no honest way to compare Hillary's alleged abuse of a private account and Ivanka's. Once adjudicated, that horse could be beaten loud and clear - but by then, GOP counters with "that's yesterday's news".
Our accusations can never be unsubstantiated, because we live in the real world. The right, however, is not required to be circumspect, as their adherents have absolutely zero moral compass, and only seek victory against a perceived opponent.

Know any references where that would be spelled out? Thanks.
