Unprepared and Overwhelmed

Two decades after Columbine and five years after Sandy Hook, failures by the Broward County Sheriff’s office and the school district cost Stoneman Douglas High School students their lives.

A minute-by-minute account of total failure ... this is both frightening and infuriating.

This attempted school shooting took place only a few miles from me:

I know teachers and students there. I spend a lot of time in the community. Also, IMHO, they have an excellent police department.

That said 2020 and 2024 are going to bring out new young voters who want something to be done about guns in their state. Repukes could be an endangered species as the old farts die out and climate change victims no longer vote.
