4Warned is 4Armed

Here is what is being posted at 4Chan re: Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren has announced a run for the presidency. Now is the time to move.

Go to the New York Times comment sections. Go to Reddit. Go to Twitter. Pose as a concerned Democrat and criticize her for being white. Criticize her for being a woman. Do whatever it takes to further divide the left and prevent them from unifying behind a candidate for 2020.

If we can manufacture another Bernie/Hillary split, they'll get crushed in the general election.

It's the primaries, so I get that there are going to be some frank exchanges of opinion among the DUers. Let's keep in mind that, no matter who we support in the runup to 2020, the ultimate goal is to rid this nation of a corrupt president who threatens our democracy.

To me, the best thing that can be done is to turn over the rocks and shine the light on what the Pedro the Frog crowd posts. Then put more mainstream voters on the spot - you really want to cast your lot with these vile bigots?

Much harder to split Dems if you don't run previously identified factions against each other.

We are not all going to agree on issues, or whether the party is best served by putting up a candidate of a particular gender, age, or stand on an issue. However, we all need to agree that whoever we nominate needs to defeat the current occupant of the Oval Office.

I recently saw a post that said that Sen. Warren was too white.

And there are plenty here who are stoking the Bernie crap.

I hope they are happy with themselves.

10. We need to refocus on the concept of resistance and wait until summer to get into the primaries

I wrote a rant to that effect the other day.

If we are going to discuss the primaries, my view is that we need to approach any discussion with these things in mind:

1) There is literally no point in re-fighting 2016
2) When we discuss our dislikes/disagreements regarding primary candidates, we need to do so in the paradigm that almost any of them would represent a vast improvement over the current occupant of the White House. Joe Biden is a better person than Donald Trump; Elizabeth Warren is a better person than Donald Trump; Bernie Sanders is a better person than Donald Trump; Beto O'Rourke is a better person than Donald Trump; I could go on, but you get the idea.
3) The Democrats are a spectrum. We don't universally agree on how to implement a national health plan; what role capitalism should play; whether budgets should be balanced; is the Third Way a bad or good thing; and many more. Even issues such as legal abortion and guns can cause disagreement. But In 2000, and again in 2016, people lost sight of what separates the Democratic Party from movement conservatism. Fundamentally, it is empathy for all people and common decency. As much as we disagree with FOX, we don't call it out as the enemy of the people. We don't mock disabled reporters. We call out supporters of racism. We don't believe that your money automatically qualifies you as being intelligent or a leader, and we don't believe your poverty is automatically a result of your laziness or your bad choices. We believe who you worship and who you love is your own damn business. We can all find fault with a candidate we dislike who has fallen short of these ideals, but again I point out that the enemy is those who want America to be a nation run by a cabal of nominally Christian wealthy white people that pays lip service to equality and democracy.

We may find it cartoonish, his creator created him as a harmless cartoon, but the fact remains he's become a symbol for these shitstains. It's a dark facet of meme culture in the Internet age. Pedro's creator has been fighting this for a while now, horrified and pissed his character has been co-opted.
