Wow Mitt?

Are you the one to pick up the mantle against Trump? You have strong words, but are you playing it up for a run for the White House? It sounds like a logical thing to do? You are weak and Obama, to put nicely, wiped the floor with you. So, whatever is your plan? You need to keep up the heat and show Trump that you will be a thorn in his side! One other thing, I don't like you, because you are a privileged scumbag. I will never vote for you or any Republicans, but do your job and don't sway under a Trump's hot air. To many Republicans try to kiss the throne at one minute and run when the idiot says or does something that is embarrassing to the country!

5. While more palatable than Trump, Romney is still a vulture capitalist

In his Op-Ed he clearly states that Trump is "right to align U.S. corporate taxes with those of global competitors, to strip out excessive regulations." So he is perfectly happy to destroy the safety net to subsidize corporations and trash the environment to preserve corporate profits.

I do admit, however, that I shall enjoy Romney being Trump's gadfly. I shall cheer on all that divides the GOP. Meanwhile, back at the WH, Trump, who is all too easily punked, will devolve into even more crude vulgarity to insult Romney.

Mika on Morning Joe referred to Mittens as Flake, Corker and McCain on steroids. Really? McCain put the kibosh on the healthcare vote. Flake and Corker made noises of disapproval over Trumpski's temperament and lack of discipline. But beyond that? Nada. The only reason the three are mentioned is because they--unlike their Republican brethren--occasionally moved their lips in disapproval.

Interesting too that Mittens is in agreement on Trumpski's policies. His main complaint is the man's lack of 'character,'his penchant for nasty messaging--racism, sexism, immigrant bashing, etc.

The only problem is these 'messages' have been part and parcel of the Republican schtick, all wrapped up in a hide-under-your-bed-because-the-monsters-are-coming wrapper.

Methinks the OP-ED has more to do with Mitt Romney eyeing another run for POTUS, an alternative to The Donald. He's putting himself out there for the GOP to see him as a kinder, gentler version of Trump, someone who looks presidential, someone who won't embarrass or destroy the party while pushing same old, same old failed policy.

I see you, Mitt Romney!

I couldn’t have said it better.

He will still follow the GOP playbook of women as second class citizens, screwing the poor, and mass deregulation for businesses which will destroy our environment.

No thanks. Just another typical Republican with typical Republican ideas. Which any of us with more than two brain cells know only work for the 1%.
