Aaaand...they're out of the gate! The first House bills introduced...

H.R. 1: To expand Americans’ access to the ballot box, reduce the influence of big money in politics, and strengthen ethics rules for public servants, and for other purposes. Introduced 1/3/19 by Democrat Rep John Sarbanes (Md 3rd Dist) He was ready to go on Day One!

H.R. 48: To prohibit taxpayer funds from being used to build a wall between Mexico and the United States, and for other purposes. Introduced 1/3/19 by Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee (Tx 18th Dist). She was ready to go on Day One!

H.R. 67: To provide for the compensation of Federal employees and other government employees furloughed during a Government shutdown, and for other purposes. Introduced 1/3/19 by Democrat Donald Beyer (VA 8th Dist). Ready to go on Day One!

H.R. 8: To require a background check for every firearm sale. Introduced 1/8/19 by Democrat Mike Thompson (CA 5th Dist).

The Republicans introduced some, too, including a bill to allow public donations to be used to build the wall, and a bill to allow the U S Treasury to use donations for the wall. Oh, and another bill to repeal the ACA, of course.
