Since their primary began all I hear is they're looking for the "anti-Romney." If this is really true, WHY is Romney winning their primaries and STILL considered the GOP front-runner?? There have been plenty of "alternatives" out there, so wtf is their problem? Mass schizophrenia perhaps??

(1,621 posts)I heard some tea partiers interviewed saying that they would rather let Obama take 2012 and wait until 2016 than let Romney win. As for the failure of the anti-Romney forces to coalesce behind one of the other choices, I'm as perplexed as you are. They looking for someone who can debate Obama without looking stupid and who passes every litmus test on the issues, a candidate that does not exist.

(67,107 posts)dribble. They say nothing in their presentations but a bunch of rhetoric to attract hostile RW elements of their party. It's discouraging to even listen to them, if this is the best they have to offer and they want to run the country. Every time I listen to some of them it's always a WTF. They never bring solutions, just hatefulness, divisive rhetoric and authoritarianism laced with RW fundy religion.

(67,107 posts)small gov., freedom this and that, no gov. interference ... but yet their rhetoric is always soooo invasive and authoritarian. They just make no sense, and seem to want some type of invasive and controlling theocratic authoritative dystopia. It all gets very very creepy.

(67,107 posts)about NDAA with indefinite detention... who comes down the road with what regime ... imagine Bush/Cheney with NDAA rounding up those that disagree with their agenda ... just about anything can be construed to be an enemy of the state. It's all relative, of course, to TBTB at that time.
