They are literally ready and waiting for it.

Some are happily anticipating it, because that's the day they intend to use those weapons.

They like to think they will use those weapons when the time is right. Thing is, the US only likes their guns used by law ineforcement. Those idiots will do some damage, just like they're already doing. But they won't survive.

I do know that police compromise about .3% of the population of the US.

If it did turn into a civil war, the cops are out numbered about 300 to 1.
