(182,803 posts)The founder is hard right wing. When it first started it was simply a glossy version of the Drudge Report - putting them side by side the stories often lined up 1 2 3 down the page.

(182,803 posts)The part that used to crack me up was Mike Allen. He was referred to as having formerly been with the Richmond Times-Dispatch which is a horrible rag of a newspaper. The op Ed's are surreal as are the columnists the print. I used to read it almost everyday when I had time (I'm a news junkie) and their "From Wire Reports" were something to behold. They'd take a story that had an obligatory quote from a Republican at the end and flip it upside down to make THAT QUOTE the lead paragraph. When the internet got really going they ended that because it was blatantly obvious what they were doing.
People still read it around here religiously.

Her Committee would be in charge of correcting lies and false information put forth from the White House and promoted by the Republican Party.
It would be like a war-room for the facts.
Every tweet that comes out of this White House needs to have a response.
AOC would be good at the job.
And it would be a very important job, at this time in our history, in my opinion.

(3,259 posts)Poorly framed article but many of us are thinking something similar. Will she become another Sanders or will she go the route of having a long political career with a serious impact on peoples lives. Lashing out on Twitter isnt very impressive to most of us.
The poorly framed part is that she doesnt necessarily have to decide. She has accomplished nothing in the political world and is taking her first steps. Maybe she already plans on getting in deep and making the sausage. We just dont know.
What you are reading here is the current creation of her start. Media driven by articles designed to garner emotional responses. She plays into it by having limited impulse control. There is currently not a pitch she wont swing at. None of that leads me to believe she isnt going to get into the nuts and bolts of legislation.
I have high hopes for her not aspiring to be the next Amendment King. Then again, not one of us even knows if she will be a career politician. People place so much of their personal wants and imagination on other.

(2,496 posts)But like others have said, it is par for the course for Politico.
I'm pretty sure she is capable of both legislating and being a "twitter star." And I strongly suspect one helps the other.
Ridiculous the fake outrage some people have about her. There are a lot of high count posters on here falling for Right Wing smear tactics.

(16,168 posts)the ptb hate to see or hear the truth so blatantly so they have to discredit the source of their fear.
As an old white guy I say, "YOU GO WOMAN" Keep up the good work.
As far as politico being a rw electronic rag, it is.
