Trump may not have colluded with Russia as President, But he did collude as a civilian candidate.

Article 1 Section 3 of the Constitution.

Judgment in cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of HONOR, Trust or profit under the United States: but the party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law...........

There is no mention of the term Presidential Privilege in the Constitution of the United States.

It just took me 15 minutes to read the Constitution from cover to cover. A little longer to understand it all but its not a hard read. Give it a try.

6. Probably,

Either way he is screwed. It is just hard to convict a sitting President. After is a different story, is my point.

9. Without a doubt.

And no amount of qualifying by the media is going to make him NOT guilty.

2. Every time he does their bidding with policy decisions it's a conspiracy to overthrow our

government. I see it as nothing less than treason. He does it every goddam day!

11. Ongoing and knowingly.

A particularly dangerous form of mental state and criminality. Cannot be accepted.

3. K&R

It is clear that civilian candidate Donald J. Trump committed crimes and should be held to account for when the crimes were committed.

This obviousness escapes so many. Thank you!

7. "disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of HONOR, Trust or profit under the United States"

"or profit"

means he could no longer be CEO or a director of any Trump companies in the USA

Hadn't noticed that one about impeachment before.

Looking at the Manafort cases, they could clean him out financially too.

As the vise of justice squeezes him, they might want to consider suicide watch.

This could be as great a fall in prestige and fortune as any experienced ... and I won't feel a shred of sympathy.

Sounds like it should be part of the punishment. I am good with it.

15. For good reason.

Congress doesn't control and own every business in the US.

That's been tried elsewhere. It worked out very, very badly every time.

16. I was not suggesting that they did

The SEC for example can ban someone from serving on a board of directors.

17. Didn't he reveal classified information affecting

Israel to the two russian goons visiting him in the Oval? Because of that, Israel may be truncating security information relevant to US interests. And it is possible other allies have decided trump cannot be trusted with classified data. That sounds to me like he's compromised the US's security.
