The Democrats’ refusal to compromise on border security and reopen the government didn’t stop President Trump from hosting national champion @ClemsonFB tonight. He personally paid for the event to be catered by some of America’s great fast food joints

He probably had the staff instructed to make sure no one left with silverware or a silver tray. Which come to think of it was kind of ridiculous considering what they were serving. Silver service and candelabras for fast food?? Emily Post just rolled over in her grave.

AFAIK, championship teams don't traditionally get fed on their visits. Sometimes they'll get to see the Oval Office, but usually they all gather in the press room for some speeches, and presenting the President with a jersey and other gifts. After the dog-and-pony show, everyone goes about their business. No meal. No coffee and donuts. No drinks and appetizers.

This was just a set-up for more of his bullshit distractions. He threw some junk food at these kids in order to pull his "Look how generous I am! Poor me! I'm forced to shell out my own money to feed them, because the Democrats are being mean to me" act. People are talking about this bullshit, instead of his crimes and inability to do his fucking job. These kids were just pawns in his stupidass reality show.

Mueller, the #TrumpShutdown, the NYT story.

Every time Trump pulls something like this I remember the famous "Simpsons" episode in which Bart is told to create a "distraction."

So he starts wiggling around, doing a stupid dance.

Milhouse looks up and yells "Hey everybody, look over there! Bart is DOING STUFF!"

And Principal Skinner snaps "BART! Stop creating a distraction!"

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Clemson ate and went home. Cue the next distraction.
