(206,512 posts)I don't know why he does this, he has to know that his audience isn't thrilled with RW guests, either. But it'll be good to finally have him back, I'm looking forward to what he has to say. He showed up on Hardball last week with a preview and he wasn't smiling.

And I saw him on Chris Matthews show. Wasn't he good?!

(206,512 posts)That's why I looked up to see who he had on this week - I was looking forward to more of the same from Hardball...

(206,512 posts)A new DUer asked me to post it - but I counted twice more after that.

(28,344 posts)THAT should be interesting. Can it be found streaming anywhere afterwards or something?

(206,512 posts)And I agree, he is an unusual guest. It's been awhile since I followed sports - is he in the news?
Maru Kitteh
(28,344 posts)That's why I was shocked.

(206,512 posts)He must have something to say... Often, the mid show guest is someone non-political, like an entertainer, who has something political to say. He should be pretty interesting.

(1,549 posts)you have to sit thru a couple 15 second ads, but they put up the entire show.

(9,006 posts)He never talks to the press
I don't even know what his voice sounds like
That should be interesting

(206,512 posts)We do see athletes taking up political causes. But from what you said about him not talking to the press, he may be the most interesting part of the show!

(9,006 posts)I just watched it, that was interesting.
And I didn't mean to imply he was a jerk or anything, he just didn't like to talk to reporters
Had him on my fantasy fb team for about 2 or 3 years until he got hurt. The most I remember ever hearing him say was a polite 'no comment'. I always took it that he was just one of those guys who preferred to let his actions on the field do all the talking for him, and he sure was a badass running back.. his nickname is Beast Mode

(206,512 posts)After a meeting I attended today. And they also said that he never will talk to reporters, will just tell them to "f*** off..."

(1,054 posts)I mean, seriously, what was the point? Just to keep Maher's name in the media during the hiatus?
Normally, I would look forward to his show, but after that, the most I can hope for is apathy.
