60-vote rule to close debate on a bill. That is what they were voting on in the Senate.

Used to be 60-vote rule for Judicial nominees but Moscow Mitch changed that rule when Trump became president.

Reid changed the 60 vote rule in 2013 for all executive nominees and judicial nominees below the Supreme Court. Mitch further changed the rules for Supreme Court nominees when the orange one arrived.
