Trump Just Showed That He Has No Clue How Grocery Stores Work
Trump expressed the belief that grocery stores are giving government employees food on credit during the shutdown. This is, of course, not true.

Trump doesnt understand how grocery stores work in 2019
Trump thinks that it is 1952 and everyone shops at a neighborhood market where the owner knows you and gives you a line of credit during hard times. This is not reality. In the real world, people shop at big box grocery chains where their names arent known. The store is a corporation, not a corner neighborhood market, and they dont care if Donald Trump has taken away your paycheck because he wants a wall. They will not give you free food, or a line of credit. If you cant afford groceries, theyll direct you to the local food bank, and ask you to leave the store.
The president isnt just out of touch with working people. He is out of touch with reality.

I loved the bit about the wall keeping West Virginia safe. Holy crap! Is he planning on putting up a wall between the Virginia's!?!?! Boy the "energy pipeline" people are not going to be happy about that.

Theres an actual corner store near me, and one of the clerks knows my taste in beers. They dont extend store credit , though (they do take credit cards), and I wouldnt expect them to: they have to pay their employees, suppliers, creditors, utilities, taxes, insurance - and somehow I dont think those would be as patient as Trump thinks.

Please remember this in the context of Trump's tweets. He knows how things work. TRUMP IS LYING.

Trump's statement is the same cluelessness---a rich guy who never went grocery shopping for himself or family. Working people can recognize a phony when they see one.
