Why is this so much like Watergate? Simple: Trump is a crook too.

...When I watched Watergate 40 years ago, I remember thinking when will they get Nixon. They eventually got Nixon because in the end, he was the head crook who enabled and encouraged the rest of them. The entire group was crooked because Nixon was deep inside "a crook. The attitude was as Dean implied, "anything goes"'(you define "anything.) It is exactly the same. For Trump, "anything goes" just like Nixon. Don't get caught, and "don't squeal on me." But those last 4 words don't work, cause the crooks want less jail time. Also, some of the crooks want to testify to get the top crook. The top crook is an evil crooked person who thinks he can get away with ..."anything." One thing is for certain in my mind, Mueller will get the top crook, one way or another. Why? That is what he has done and is totally experienced in, getting the "top crook."
....Yes, it takes time, one crook at a time. Slow and steady. He moves up the ladder one against another. This one testifies against another and another and another. Slowly over time the top crook and his closest associates are gotten. Therefore, over time, I do think that Mueller will get Trump's sons.. It will not be pretty, but I do believe that is what is in the future. Mueller will get them all.. What a show...

One thing I'll say for Nixon-- no one would ever accuse him of working for the Russians.

It's difficult for me to admit this... but Trump is WAY worse than Nixon.

And Mueller, fortunately, is a better prosecutor than Cox/Jaworski, but then, Mueller has the example of what was also a very effective team effort. 69 indictments, 48 convictions.

I hope Mueller beats that record!

Yes, that is true, and that is why this could be "worse." I guess it depends on how you look at it What Nixon did and what Trump did. These are crimes against the U.S.A. Crimes against us all. And one thing stands out to me. Both Nixon and Trump had/have the attitude that they .."can get away with it." Nixon did not, and Trump will not. (just a matter of time, in my opinion)
