Any Democratic candidate who declares prior to the primary races could possibly end up being the Nominee during the general election. We have no good way to predict which of many candidates will emerge on top, nor which might end up as the Vice Presidential candidate.
Attacks on Democratic candidates early in the selection process is a lot like pouring poison down a well from which everyone drinks. It accomplishes nothing good, but makes everyone sick who drinks from that well. No sensible person would do such at thing, yet we see, again and again, that people will attack candidates from the Democratic Party who are not their favorites in the race.
All too often, such attacks are not based on reality, nor are they supported with factual negative information. Often, they are posted simply to detract from the candidate's campaign, in the hope that a person's favorite will do better. What sense does that make?
Why not spend time promoting what you see that is good in your favorite candidate and skip attacking the others? Why not engage in positive campaigning and let the candidate who is the best fit rise to the top, based on his or her positive attributes.
For the 2020 campaign, let's not poison the political well. Let's focus on why each of the Democrats who are running might make an excellent nominee. We don't know who will be the actual nominee. Why detract from anyone who might end up in that role?

Or is this just, "for the future" advice?

I just finished insisting that some DUer tell me where he/she had gotten the ugly information that they posted. The answer: Facebook.
"It's all over Facebook." was the answer. So, is that a Russian Bot or just someone without any filters? I don't know.
