I live in a very red area of Illinois. Look at the online poll at this right wing newspaper

I noticed something like this at a small town parade we went to this past summer. When the GOP float came by I was sure they were going to get applause and the people there booed them. When the Democratic float came by I was sure everyone was going to boo. Wrong. People stood and cheered. I swear. Now this area is about as red as it gets in Illinois. There are places around here that if you ever visited you would swear it is a scene right out of Deliverance. That freaking red! Something is happening.

Look at the photo and story at this link: http://www.daily-journal.com/archives/dj/display.php?id=484970

People are usually skiing around here in January. Snow skiing. The river these guys are water skiing on is normally frozen over solid by now. Not underneath. But on top people are usually riding snowmobiles on it.
