About Northam . . .

This a.m. I was reading the comments after a WaPo article, and there was a link to a Gateway Pundit article that could possibly show that it was another person in the yearbook picture. It shows a picture of Northam standing in a group of people which included a man wearing plaid pants that could possibly be the same pants in the yearbook picture.

I had my husband look at the picture and he says they aren't the same pants, but I think the difference could be due to the quality of the pics, the lighting, etc.

Since the KKK person was significantly shorter than the blackface guy, and IF the blackface guy wasn't Northam, then he wasn't in the pic at all.

Regardless, Northam needs to go for other examples of racism, but it is interesting that he may have been telling the truth when he said it wasn't him in the pic.

Has anyone else seen this yet--or any other article that shows the group shot? (I won't post a link to the Gateway Pundit because it is a rightwing source.)

Why would he say that if it wasn't - or if he hadn't ever dressed that way?

If you had never dressed up like a Playboy bunny, if someone showed you a picture of a woman a Playboy bunny outfit, would you initially think it was you?

an innocent Democratic Governor is being destroyed by many members of his own political party.

I believe people better check out the link below and honestly think about reconsidering their position on Northam.

in THAT particular picture, but he admitted to donning blackface for a Michael Jackson dance contest. His nickname was coonman. He refused to shake hands with his Black opponent in a prior election. He cut Fairfax out of pictures sent in campaign lit.

He isn't innocent of racism. And for that, he needs to resign.

Those were flyers put out by a miner’s union supporting a Democratic ticket. Fairfax was omitted because he alone was advocating environmental regulations that, in the union’s opinion, would cost mining jobs.

He admitted to wearing blackface.

Just because he's denying he's the one in the picture doesn't make him innocent.

No more than OJ being innocent because he denied killing Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman.

Obama admitted to using cocaine in college. By that standard, shouldn’t he have been forced to resign the presidency? And, if you say no, would you say the same if he had admitted to be the “Night Stalker” serial killer? HUH???

and turned on the Democratic Party. We're in a huge battle for the future of our nation, and their big goal here is to split off enough of the black vote to give them victory in 2020. At this point proof of what he's now denying should matter more, but it doesn't. Too late to stop the attack from hitting home.

Our political pros knew immediately what this was, and it seems barely 5 minutes passed before the moves to spike this new cannon began. Otherwise, the Republicans will use it to bombard us from now to November 2, 2020. And reactions here should clue anyone in to how effective it could be.

Not spit in the faces of the most loyal and indispensable part of our base in order to let a latecomer to the party who insulted and betrayed them save face and keep his job he wouldn't have gotten without them.

That IS how we win elections.

It's also how we behave as decent human beings.

Northam Yearbook Photo Was Unearthed by Outlet Associated With White Nationalists
Big League Politics was founded by ex-Breitbart staffers who thought the site was too mainstream.

Big League Politics was founded in 2017 by a group of former Breitbart Newsstaffers, who decided that the nationalist media outlet previously run by Steve Bannon had gotten too mainstream. BLP started as the media arm of a pro-Trump, “populist nationalist” political action committee, which bills itself as the “attack dogs” for the American First Agenda. The site is now owned by North Carolina political consultant Reilly O’Neal, who worked for Roy Moore, the Alabama Senate candidate whose run was derailed by child molestation charges, and Corey Stewart, a Republican from Virginia popular with white supremacists for his support of Confederate monuments. Last year, Stewart unsuccessfully challenged Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), and the site covered his race extensively.

The man who first posted the Northam yearbook photo is BLP editor-in-chief Patrick Howley, a former reporter and provocateur for Breitbart and Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller. Howley has made news in the past, but for more (sic) ignoble reasons. In 2014, he and Carlson were forced to apologize to reporter Rosie Gray, then at BuzzFeed, after Howley tweeted a pair of gross, sexist comments about her. Breitbart also suspended Howley in 2016 after he publicly questioned whether one of his co-workers had lied when she said she’d been manhandled by Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski at a press event.

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax denies sexual assault claim, amid political storm

The allegation was first posted by Big League Politics, the same political blog that published the now-infamous yearbook photo showing someone in blackface and someone in a KKK costume, from Northam's 1984 yearbook page. ,,,,

The blog, in the post that prompted Fairfax's denial, claimed that a fellow at Stanford University said a man sexually assaulted her at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, Mass.

“Imagine you were sexually assaulted during the DNC Convention in Boston in 2004 by a campaign staffer. You spend the next 13 years trying to forget it ever happened. Until one day you find out he’s the Democratic candidate for statewide office in a state some 3000 miles away, and he wins that election in November 2017,” a post from the reported accuser said, according to the blog. “Then, by strange, horrible luck, it seems increasingly likely that he’ll get a VERY BIG promotion.” ….

“The (Washington) Post carefully investigated the claim for several months,” Fairfax’s office said in a statement. “After being presented with facts consistent with the Lt. Governor’s denial of the allegation, the absence of any evidence corroborating the allegation, and significant red flags and inconsistencies within the allegation, the Post made the considered decision not to publish the story.” ....
