ICE refusing to release rapper 21 Savage on bond, lawyer says

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is refusing to release rapper 21 Savage on bond after he was arrested Sunday for allegedly overstaying his visa, his lawyer said Monday.

The rapper, whose legal name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested by ICE on allegations that he overstayed his visa after coming to the U.K. from Dominica, a commonwealth of the United Kingdom.

"Based upon incorrect information about prior criminal charges and now refusing to release him on bond of any amount, despite the fact that he has a pending U-Visa application (as the victim of crime) with USCIS, and that he has relief from removal available to him," attorney Charles H. Kuck said in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone.

Kuck also said that 21 Savage "has never hidden his immigration status from the US government" and is being unfairly targeted.

2. Let me see if I understand this . . .

They let Roger FUCKING Stone walk free, despite the fact that he has every reason to be held as a flight risk - and don't tell me his effing passport is expired (He was in London months ago.), which I don't believe for a New York minute. He has plenty of friends in high (and low) places and supporters who could get him out of the US.

But they keep this kid -- who has never tried to rig an election, trafficed in stolen e-mails, colluded with a foreign government or had a tattoo of a rat-fucker on his back -- in jail.

How do they explain this ? Would he still be denied freedom if he didn't have dreads, gold teeth, or was white ?
