seeing her comments last night and this morning on MSNBC, she seems bitter. Maybe it is just me. Did anyone else get that impression?

(11,513 posts)and she voted against our party more than she did with it trying to save her seat for years. Never ever cared for her and dont care for her as a commentator!

(17,414 posts)It is simply not true that McCaskill voted against our party more than she voted for it

(11,513 posts)On important issues! It really didnt do her any good. Sorry she landed an anchor job!

(10,491 posts)After Collins gave her speech/screed, I wouldn't have blamed her for crossing the aisle in an effort to save her seat. Her lifetime ACU rating was 11 percent, which made hers slightly more conservative than, say, Schumer but right in line with Heitkamp. And it makes her a flaming pinko compared to Manchin.

(7,113 posts)Seriously, I appreciated her post-SOTU inputs on "Morning Joe," at least in terms offering first-hand experience of serving in Congress that is more recent than Joe's constant re-hashing his time in the House battling Bill Clinton.
But I can't say Claire is bitter when she responds to questions about former Senate colleagues running for POTUS -- especially the women-- by saying that to endorse one over the other would be like choosing which one of your children you love the best.
That said, if MSNBC is going to use ex-senators as on-air analysts, I'd like to see them hire Russ Feingold, too.

(4,245 posts)Like she honestly doesnt get it. So shiny and object-like. Not bitter at all.

(16,997 posts)derogatory terms about another Democrat like you are doing. Lots of people won their elections, how ridiculous to say she only cared about AOC.
She is saying she didnt have the luxury of touting the same things that an 80% liberal district in New York would tolerate. I doubt AOC could win in Missouri, but would that make her bitter? She wouldnt run in Missouri; Claire wouldnt run in the Bronx. Quite a projection on your part.

(4,245 posts)Claire can now feel free to make all the money she wants in the private sector. May MO Dems run better campaigns in the future.
R B Garr
(16,997 posts)Typical. Claire didnt have the luxury of running in an 80% liberal district in a blue state. She didnt have the options available to her that liberals in blue states have. How typically absurd to compare a liberal from New York to a red state politician. Bernie didnt win liberal California that is way more of a message...
Bernie is making money in the private sector selling his books on Amazon...no snarky outrage?? Your smears about Claires future plans are just projection.

(4,245 posts)Talk about projection.

(16,997 posts)Claire and your musings about her state of mind: bitterness, jealousy, your derogatory one-size-fits-all comments about people in the private sector as if there is supposed to be shame about that. Now you are projecting about my bed. Really childish at this point, sorry.
theaocp
(4,245 posts)Again, I hope the Dems of MO get someone who can put up a winning campaign. Cheers.
R B Garr
(16,997 posts)dreary musings about what Claire might do in the private sector, as if working in the private sector is something to be ashamed of. You hope the Dems can win in a red state...the Dems...?? Interesting admission there on your part, but your concerns are making sense now. The Dems running in red states dont have the luxury to campaign like liberals in blue states. You are the one with the contradictions, LOL.
theaocp
(4,245 posts)Whatever. Have the last word. I bequeath it unto you, since you have shown you clearly need it. Cheers.
R B Garr
(16,997 posts)projections, even talking about my bed. When you get no traction, then you double down on your emotional claptrap projecting petty emotions onto others that you know nothing about: bitterness, jealousy, shameful employment in the private sector. Then you get called out on your disjointed attacks, on me, on Claire, on the Dems, and you project even more about the last word...
The SIMPLEST point on planet: red states are not the same politically as liberal blue states. Simple point and it was made several posts ago despite your attempts to project irrelevant snark for over 24 hours now, lol,

(49,429 posts)for HRC in her 2016 presidential bid. Claire would likely have found a place in Hillary's administration. Hillary's defeat hit her as hard as anyone.
Months ago, McCaskill stated she was done with running for public office. That may have been an indication that she's also done with kissing ass and making nice.
